I had a work Christmas party to go to last weekend, and the theme was Masquerade!
I went as Marie Antoinette and as a Secret Santa present I was given a set of lace nail transfers from Kit Cosmetics.
They looked fabulous and matched my outfit perfectly, and I think they would have lasted a while if it hadn't been for the pre Christmas madness off washing and cleaning.
They are very plasticy, hard to get to the right shape - unlike the Sally Hansen ones I've tried before - but also harder to stuff up! All in all, not bad.

Mod-ern Girl
One of my fave summer colours by OPI. Bright and cheerful without being too in your face.
Today I've teamed it with a chunky gold bracelet, a navy t-shirt, grey chinos and black and gold ballet flats. Perfect for the office!!

Hundreds and thousands - take two
Hundreds and Thousands
I tried out my pink Ciate Nail Caviar last night - looks awesome!
Everyone asks me how long it lasts and the answer is: not very. But such is life. It's pretty and fun so I don't mind if it only lasts a day or so!
My advice - don't do this when you are planning on doing dishes, washing your hair, or any chores around the house for 24 hours.

Bungaroo Valley
So I haven't posted in a while because for the last four days I've been working in the beautiful Bungaroo Valley! Not a lot of internet up here - Bungaroo is an hours drive on a dirt road from Pannawonica, which in itself is a good two hours drive from Karratha, which is the main town in the Pilbara.
Anyway I thought I would share some pics with you all. Enjoy x

Goddess
This beauty is called Goddess and I picked it up from Sportsgirl for $7.95.
It goes on great, dries quick, and lasts a long time - what more could you want? I usually reserve it for my toes but today I thought I needed a little sparkle in my life!

Archives
I pulled some old pics out of my archives for you today. Enjoy!
These are OPI's 'Do You Lilac It?' and 'Dont Know, Beets Me'
A random combo of blues and purples
A Sally Hansen 'stick on' nail are transfers (which lasted about a week in gold but about a day in blue - go figure)
A pedi I got in Bali - they all thought I was strange at first for wanting blue, but in the end they all decided it looked awesome.

Pacific Blue
Ok, so I think I've found my new favourite colour - Sally Hansen X-Treme Wear Pacific Blue.
It's slightly less pastel looking than the bottle suggests, which is a bit of a let down, but its still a pretty rad colour!
It doesn't have the awesome brush, like other SH polishes but I can make my peace with that. Now I just need to wait and see if it wears well!

My collection
This pic is from quite a while ago - safe to say my collection has grown since then!
Will have to take an updated shot soon x
Sally Hansen Insta-Dry
I went to Priceline yesterday looking for my fave Sally Hansen nail polish in pastel green. Unfortunately they had run out of it :( so I decided to try some other types of their polish.
I picked up one of the Inst-Dry range thinking it might be good for the times where I want to paint my nails before work (which is more often than you might think).
I decided to go with 'Blue Streak'
It looks pretty good and dried reasonably quickly - I'd say touch dry within 5 minutes and pretty solid within 10.
My favourite thing about Sally Hansen polishes though is their brush. It's wide and flat and goes on like a dream. The downside is the polish needs at least three coats to be opaque (don't believe the crap about only needing one coat!)
All in all, I think I'll be back for more of these!
Some new blues
Two new colours to try! One is a quick dry and the other is extreme wear, hopefully they live up to their expectations.
Will report back with my findings!

OPI Gel
This is an OPI Gel nail mani my mate did for me. It looked great! and lasted about a week so I was stoked with that.
I can't remember what the colour was called but it looked slightly more coral in real life!
Getting you up to date
Some recent nail colours.
OPI Metallic Silver
OPI "Skull and Glossbones" (one of my faves)
OPI "Do you Lilac it?"
And a nice little combo which was fun!
Nail Caviar
OMG.
Amazing.
I was waiting for this to come to Aus for MONTHS and my beloved Kit Cosmetics finally started stocking it.
Love.
Christmas Wish List
So, everytime someone asks me what I want for Christmas or my birthday, I always say 'Oh, I dont know! Nothing!'
And then this year I realised, thats not the way to get what you want!!! So I started thinking about all the things I would buy if I wasn't trying to save up and suddenly, I had a Christmas list. All these amazing items would just thrill me if I found them under the tree this year.
I dont think I'll actually GET anything on this list (already talked about buy a camera with hubby) but hey, it can't hurt a girl to dream, right??
